School Trips

Year 1 In-School Visit – Tom’s Talking Reptiles

Year 1’s theme this half term is ‘Animals’! We have decided to have an ‘in-school’ animal day. We have hired a company called Tom’s Talking Reptiles who will bring a range of reptiles, amphibians and mini-beasts to our school. This is a great opportunity for the children to observe and work with animals. The visit will take place on Friday 27th May during the school day and the company will spend 1 hour with each class. The cost of this visit is a voluntary contribution of £5.45 per child.

Year 3 Trip – The Science Museum

We are excited for Year 3 to visit The Science Museum on Thursday 9th June. Students will have the opportunity to engage in a fun but educational trip whereby their experiences will directly link to learning which has taken place in the classroom. Students will have the opportunity to see interactive galleries, have a small group session with museum staff and see educational documentaries.

The cost of this visit is a voluntary contribution of £14.93 per child.

Year 6 Trip – Isle of Wight

The visit has been booked with the Isle of Wight Experience, which specialises in arranging trips to the island. This is extremely exciting for our school and the objective of the visit will be to develop pupils’ independence whilst staying away from home in a safe and secure setting. They will also have the opportunity to explore the Isle of Wight, whilst taking part in a variety of activities, such as visits to: Carisbrooke Castle, Alum Bay and Blackgang Chine. We hope that all of our Year 6 pupils will participate in the visit.
The visit will run from Monday 4th July 2022 to Friday 8th July 2022 and Mr Wicks will be leading the trip, accompanied by other staff from our school. We will be staying in a hotel on the island and the adult to child ratio will be at least 1:10, at all times. The cost of the trip this year is £305 and includes all coach travel, ferry fares, hotel accommodation with full board and all planned on site and off site activities. If your child has ever had Free School Meals, or is currently in receipt of Free School Meals, you may use your £100 allocated pupil premium funding towards the cost of the trip.
