Dear Parents,

As you are aware, one of the school’s priorities this year is reading and we have organised an event, comprising of different themed weeks, for the month of March. Throughout the month of March, the children will be participating in many reading events, starting with World Book Day on Thursday 5th March. To assist the children in developing a love of reading, we have been working tirelessly to improve the reading books and resources available to them and we are now asking for you to give us a helping hand!

Below, we have created a ‘wish list’ of reading books and are asking for you to purchase a book from this list. These are available to buy from Waterstones or can be ordered online at There will also be paper copies of this ‘wish list’ dotted around the school, near entrances and exits, so you can jot your name next to the book you have donated – in return, we will label this book with your family name as a sign of our gratitude. Please pass any donations to your child’s class teacher or to the Office – these will be added to the school library once it has been labelled.

We know it is a lot to ask but in the words of Dr Seuss, “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”

As always, we appreciate all of your support.
