Principal’s Welcome

Shree Deb

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to The Grove Academy.

The Grove Academy is a three-form entry primary school, with a Nursery.  We are delighted to form part of the Aspire Academies Trust, and are active members of the West Herts Teaching Schools Partnership.  Through this, we work with colleagues throughout the Trust to share very best practice and expertise across our family of academies and to offer mutual support and challenge to one another.  In this way, our children will receive the best possible provision at all stages and we continually seek ways to further improve what we do.

We are very proud of our Academy, where we celebrate a culture of collaboration and achieving Excellence. We are committed to improving the life chances of all children by providing high-quality education and family support in a safe, caring and inclusive environment.  We are passionate about empowering all children to reach their fullest potential. At the Grove Academy, we are fully committed to providing children with an education that will equip them with the skills and attributes needed to be successful citizens and lifelong learners.

We have high expectations of every one of our pupils.  Our ethos is to teach children to take responsibility for their actions, their environment, and most importantly, for their learning.  Children are taught the values that help them become confident, resilient and caring individuals and successful members of society.  We are a caring community, whose values are built on mutual trust and respect for all. Teachers harness children’s natural curiosity and desire to learn, making learning stimulating and enjoyable.  We aim to deliver the highest standards of educational achievement through an engaging and well-rounded curriculum, which is constantly reviewed to ensure it meets the needs of our pupils.

We support all children at an individual level, whatever their learning strengths and needs. We strongly believe in the importance of developing a supportive partnership between home and school. This is essential if children are to achieve their full potential and to grow as individuals. Working together, we can help your child to develop the skills that they will need in later life. We want all of our children to be happy, confident learners and to aim high!

Our community is warm and vibrant.  We provide a caring and secure environment in which children are valued as individuals and where they can develop an appreciation of the cultures and beliefs of others in our school community and beyond.

It is a great privilege for me to have the opportunity to lead a team of talented, professional and dedicated staff who are passionate about education and committed to providing our pupils with the best education and personal development opportunities.

We are very proud of everything we do here, so if you are thinking of applying for a school place or a staff position, or you would simply like to know more, we will be delighted to welcome you to visit.

We hope our website will answer many of your questions but should you have further queries, please telephone, email or visit the school – you will be most welcome.
